About Us

Back in the fall of 2018, 10 Richmond families got a little crazy together and bought an acre of land in the James River just upstream of the Mayo Bridge. They didn’t have a plan at the time. They just loved the outdoors, Richmond and the idea of owning their own island! They’ve since built Sharp’s Island into a destination campsite and great place to get away. Now, with more amenities built out and their party game perfected, they want to showcase the island’s potential for Richmonders looking to put on a one-of-a-kind event.
